We hiked up to the Franz Josef Glacier and I took the following pictures. Note: The last two pictures contain little stick figures that are actually people, so that should give a good indication of scale:
The next set of pictures includes some taken by me and others by Heather:
I’ve had several people comment that they thought I had an odd or abstract way of presenting my pictures. This blog’s software (Wordpress) displays “gallery” pictures in a center-cropped square fashion, which is not what the actual picture looks like. Be sure to click on each picture once to see it represented by itself on a separate page, and then click on it a second time to see it displayed larger (better resolution/quality).
I will look for a better gallery “plug-in” in order to present them closer to as I shot them.

I attended the Sydney Photography Tour in the Rocks District of Sydney a few days ago. The following pictures were from that event:
I thoroughly enjoyed Alfonso’s instruction and picked his brain on several photographic concepts and technical approaches. If anyone is intending on spending some time in Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane/Adelaide, I highly recommend contacting him and joining him on one of his tours. He has great information for any level of photography experience, including those with point-and-shoot cameras!
(Alfonso is in the first photo of the gallery above.)
Here are photos from day three, taken at The Puppet Shop in the Rocks District of Sydney and Taronga Zoo in Mosman:
Here are photos taken from our second day in Australia:
I originally intended on posting pictures daily, but a busy schedule and inconvenient / cost prohibitive / unreliable internet access got in the way.
Heather and I are on our delayed and much anticipated honeymoon to Australia and New Zealand. I intend to post pictures every day of our trip as long as I can obtain Internet access. Here’s what I managed to capture today:
